Young Adult Ministry

We welcome all young adults in the Diocese of Salt Lake City!

We are dedicated to being a walking companion for you as you continue your faith journey. Our office is guided by three goals as outlined in the USCCB document Sons and Daughters of the Light:

  1. To help young adults develop their spiritual life rooted in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as their redeemer and savior.
  2. To help young adults appreciate the teachings and traditions of the Church through catechesis, religious education, and pastoral care.
  3. To help young adults understand vocation as primarily a call to holiness and Christian maturity lived through single or married life, the priesthood, the diaconate, or religious life.

Young Adult Programs

Christ in the City is an opportunity for Catholic young adults from the Salt Lake valley to gather for prayer and conversation. We meet on the 1st Wednesday of every month at 7:00 pm at the Cathedral of the Madeleine (331 E South West Temple, SLC). Our event targets Catholic young adults (ages 18-35) in the greater Salt Lake City area, and all are welcome to join! The night begins with the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and a Holy Hour of prayer, music, and silence. Priests will be available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. We end the night with a time for socializing.
